1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?

This module has been very different to the previous ones due to how much I've tried, I feel my commitment and level of work has improved a lot, still a lot more to improve on but I am finally understanding how long certain things take and therefore managing my time more effectively. Generally, this module I have developed an understanding into how to tackle a problem, how to analyse a problem and solving it more effectively.

2. What approaches to/methods of research have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?

I have tried to ensure both primary and secondary research, this helps back up any work that I did, its both reassuring and also gives the work more weight. Some ideas are from how someone answered so it can help a lot to get a different view point or opinion.

3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?

I am finally feeling more comfortable on the adobe suite. Especially on indesign, from the brief in this module.

4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these more fully?

I still need to work on producing the best I can for final resolutions and booking time in the print room to ensure I maximise on how good something could look. I still need to really explore screen printing too, however, I think I am slightly daunted!

5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?

Do more hand rendered techniques, this will give a stronger flavour of my style within my work.

Plan time even more effectively, booking time in print room etc, better final outcomes.

Focus on design context earlier on and use it to influence decisions, will give my work more professionalism

Plan group work more effectively and don't give up on an idea even if everyone does. A bad crit shouldn't mean the end of an idea.

Speak up more in a group, don't go with what others say to avoid conflict.

6.How would you grade yourself on the following areas:

(please indicate using an ‘x’)

5= excellent, 4 = very good, 3 = good, 2 = average, 1 = poor

The evaluation of your work is an important part of the assessment criteria and represents a percentage of the overall grade. It is essential that you give yourself enough time to complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self evaluation process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible.
