Sherry Design Internship Easter

During my Easter I went to Sherry Design, after a month long internship there last summer I thought that going back may not add a lot to my practice but thought that I would be silly to turn down the opportunity to go back. I was very wrong, as I learnt so much in the two weeks.

It was a great way to spend my time through easter, as I learnt a lot and had a much larger part in the designing side of the company.

I learnt:

  • how much I can achieve in a day - this was so beneficial when returning to LCA as it made my days so much more efficient
  • I was fortunate enough to sit in with a printer one day which allowed me to view their print aspects as a professional. It was really interesting to see what can professionally be offered to studios. This will aid how I design.
  • that I want to be working in a small/medium sized consultancy studio, I never got bored (which was a reassurance)
  • Make the most of advice
  • Don't be shy
  • Try and get involved in projects

They offerered me CV help, portfolio advice, more interning
