End of module enterprise evaluation.

1.  What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?

Throughout this module have started to become familiar with both terms and knowledge that will be beneficial relevant for me to practice graphic design within the industry. I would now have a certain level of confidence and knowledge of: business strategies, marketing and relevant problems that would, and probably will arise while still studying but definitely after leaving.

As this module is completely different to our other modules it has lead to different types of learning, more practical issues such as working in a team, compromising on a common mission statement for example proved to be harder than I thought it would be.

Despite treating it like a pseudo business, this has been something that we have all taken seriously, and this has probably been one of the biggest skills I have learnt, to work professionally within a team.

2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?

Throughout this process I have realised how working in a group can not only help with idea development but also the progression of the design development itself, my creating clear objectives and communicating these effectively it allowed us to work faster and get more done. Allowing a depth to cwork on a smaller timescale.

3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?

As mentioned above, creating clear objectives within ones work is something that I will continue to put into place within my own practice.

Another strength is the way in which we delegated jobs, especially regarding research then re-grouped to discuss and compile the information. I will try to do this when working in other collaborative briefs later on as it will make the way in which teams work more effective and beneficial.

4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future?

As a group we found it quite hard to have the discipline to structure our meetings early on, however, we got over this hurdle and similar to anything, starting was the hardest part. Within my own work, the hardest part was having the faith in myself and each other to do the best we could. One believes that they will find more about something than others, so it was hard to stick to the areas we were given. However, I just committed to my areas of research and then when we all came together it was evident that the research we had all done was good.

6.How would you grade yourself on the following areas:

The evaluation of your work is an important part of the assessment criteria and represents a percentage of the overall grade. It is essential that you give yourself enough time to complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self evaluation process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible.
